Anti-Adhesion Barrier Film
Nan Ya‘s anti-adhesion barrier film is designed to serve as a protective layer to prevent postoperative tissue adhesion and abnormal tissue growth. Manufactured from bioresorbable polylactic acid and polyethylene glycol-based materials, the film undergoes hydrolytic degradation within the body, ultimately metabolizing into carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O).
The incorporation of polyethylene glycol enhances the film’s hydrophilicity, allowing it to adhere easily to moist tissue surfaces and to be naturally absorbed over time. Once implanted, the film protects wound sites during the critical healing phase, stabilizes soft tissue structures, and gradually dissolves without the need for surgical removal. This eliminates the need for a secondary surgery, offering a significant advantage over permanent adhesion barriers that require manual extraction.
•Note: This biodegradable anti-adhesion film is not intended for cases requiring a permanent separation membrane. Recommended Applications: Liver surgery, Colorectal surgery, Laparoscopy, Gynecological procedures, Cesarean sections, Open abdominal surgery.
